There’s nothing I love more (maybe food) than sitting in front of my vanity and doing my makeup, but some days I don’t have time. So I normally go for the same easy and quick look every time.
The one I reach for the most is Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer, my makeup lasts the longest with this. The downside is the texture, it’s meant to be a ‘velvet’ feeling but for oily skin it feels like grease. No matter, I haven’t found a primer better than this on.
For my oily skin I opt for a powder foundation to keep shine away for longer and to cut down time. Now depending on what I’m doing depends on what powder foundation I use. If it’s an important day I’d use bareMinerals Matte Powder Foundation, which is my favourite as it keeps shine away the longest. But if it’s a basic work day I’d use Elf Personal Blend Foundation which has slight shimmer pigments, but the multiple shades of minerals allows me to find my perfect match.
I’m all for the ombre eyebrows so Collection Work The Colour Eyebrow Kit is perfect for me. It has different shades of powders suitable for everyone and comes with a clear brow gel. However, I use Benefit Gimme Brow to keep my brows in place and give them a more full look, it’s easy to use with its small brush and my brows last all day.
I love lengthy lashes and the quickest mascara to do that is Essence Get Big! Lashes Mascara. It doesn’t clump and keeps my lashes curled for longer. What more could I want?
This is the only part I don’t keep the same, need to jazz it up now and then, right? Most days it would be a lipstick to add a pop of colour to the face, or other days I’d go for a simple eyeshadow look involving one or two colours. I’ve been reaching for Essence LongLasting Lipstick in 06 Barely There!
And that completes the look. Normally I wouldn’t wear the same look frequently (this girl likes to experiment!) but little me has been a busy bee, and I haven’t felt like being creative at too early in the morning o’clock so this look was invented.
