Review: Barry M Chisel Cheeks Contour Kit

Barry M Contour Kit

Who doesn’t love a good contour? Everywhere I look I see people with sculpted cheeks and defined features, but I never thought to look at Barry M for makeup. Nail polishes? Yes, but never makeup.

Since trying one of their lipsticks years ago, which caused my lips to dry and crack, I’ve never been a fan of their makeup range, their nail polishes? I love. But when the Barry M Chisel Cheeks Contour Kit (£6.49) came out I was debating for so long whether to get it, and finally I did!

Barry M Contour Kit Guide

The travel friendly kit comes with handy instructions (great for beginners!) and contains three matte powders: a highlight, bronzer and contour. The light colour, of course, is the highlight. A pale ivory with a hint of yellow, that works great to set under eye makeup as well. The medium brown colour is your bronzer, which has a slight warm reddish tone that doesn’t give you the horrid orange look (hallelujah!). And finally the dark brown colour is for contouring, with its grey cool undertone makes it the perfect shade for the job.

Barry M Contour Kit Powders

All powders were easy to blend and highly pigmented, the results were amazing! Only downside is the packaging, I like to use a fluffy brush when applying bronzers so the brush only just fits the pan but leaves mess, so I know this product won’t stay clean for long! If the pans were spread out a little more the problem would be solved, but then that may defeat the purpose of travel friendly, dilemma!

Overall, I love it! I took so many selfies the first time I tried it as my makeup looked great (in my opinion) with the contour kit complimenting the rest of my makeup. If you’re looking for a budget friendly kit or just starting out with contour, look no further! Get yours here.

  1. That looks really good, especially for the price! I think the shades would suit me very well too! Although I’m trying to use up my current Sleek contour palette (it never did before) but it’s starting to look muddy now. Maybe I shall grab this next to try!
