Not long ago E.L.F Cosmetics had a 50% off flash sale going, so I had to take advantage! I mean the site’s already low in cost so a half price sale is too good to miss.
Makeup Remover Pen
A repurchase every time I order, it’s a simple way to even out eyeliner wings and clean up any mess. After a while the pen gets really dirty (even if you clean it after every use) and loses shape, so it’s a frequent repurchase. However, I can’t find it on their site now, so I’m hoping it’s been removed due to being sold out and back at a later date (fingers crossed!).
I was hunting for the under eye setting powder but that seems to be taken down from the site, then I found this and thought it does the same thing but with more coverage. I haven’t tried it yet but will do very soon. I brought the shade warm, comes in fair, light, warm, dark and deep. (Get it here)
HD Mattifying Cream Foundation
I’m not a lover of cream face products, having oily skin puts me off products like that. But being a makeup lover I thought I’d give it a go as it sets as a powder. The foundation is easy to apply, I used the sponge applicator, and the product sets a reasonable time later. However, the shade I brought is too light for me, I got porcelain (comes in porcelain, buff, caramel, almond and coco) as the other shades looked too dark on screen. On the next flash sale I may get another in the next shade. (Get it here)
I’ve heard so many good reviews about this bronzer and when researching the best budget bronzers for a previous post (Top 5 Under £5 Bronzers) this product was highly recommended. Shades are warm, cool and golden. I got warm as that was the only shade available, looks like it’s completely sold out now as I can’t find it on their site.
Brightening Eye Colour Quad
Having previously purchased two other quads in different shades it was a no brainer buying another. This time I got the shade butternut (comes in butternut, silver lining, nouveau neutrals, drama, brownstone, hazy hazel, ethereal, punk funk, day 2 night, teal dream and ocean dreams). All the colours are shimmer but sheer so it’s a subtle hint of colour. (Get it here)
Again these eyeshadows are sheer which works for me as I can be heavy handed, these shadows are created with vitamins and no harsh ingredients. I got the shade enchanting (comes in seductive, partier, temptress and innocent, enchanting, sweet, socialite, earthy, mysterious, natural, golden, caffinated, girly, royal, angelic, trendy, outdoorsy, smoldering, flirty and bronzed). Mineral Moisturising Lip Tint
Recently, I’ve been reaching for tinted lip balms instead of lip sticks or glosses due to dry, chapped lips. Enriched with oils and vitamins it seems like the perfect thing for my lips, plus it’s tinted so I get a nice subtle colour. I brought the shade natural (comes in pink, guava, natural, berry, rose, cinnamon and cherry). (Get it here)
Before ordering I read a post from a blogger called Wonder Forest, it was ‘Makeup For Busy People’ (Read here). Where she talked about browns being “more versatility” and how she preferred cream eyeliners, “because you can smudge them with a q-tip if you wanted to add a little more dimension to your eyes”. So I thought I’d try it and purchased the shade copper (comes in gunmetal, ivory, golden, copper and purple). (Get it here)
Brightening Eyeliner Pencil
The same goes for the pencil, I wanted to try a kohl form as well as cream so I got the shade coffee, but it looks like Elf has sold out of a few colours as the only shades left are midnight and gilded. (Get it here)
And that’s it!
