Review: Benefit Erase Paste

Benefit Erase Paste

This is a first impression review on Benefit’s Erase Paste, I know it’s been out for a while but I’ve only just got my hands on it. So here’s my review…

First looks, it’s one of the cutest packages, with its funky orange and purple colour scheme. However, I was shocked to see how small the product was. Especially for the Β£20.50 price tag! When opening the box it comes with a spatula which I found really helpful to get the product out, as I can’t stand getting product under my nails, gross!

Bare under eyes

Bare skin

I picked the shade fair (comes in fair, medium and dark) which looks like a peach colour, and the texture is very creamy. I started with a little bit, scooping the product onto the back of the hand then warming it up between my fingers before apply under the eyes in a dabbing motion.

The key is dabbing until all is blended then build up the product if needed, never swipe or start with a heavy amount.

Applying Erase Paste

It’s hard to tell with the lighting, but the Erase Paste did get rid of the dark circle. However, I had to apply a little more product to fully cover the blue tones underneath the eye. It was easy to blend but felt a little heavy on the skin. I must warn, it’s easy to get carried away and apply more which caused a cakey look, I had to wipe and reapply.

Both eyes with Erase Paste

Here’s with both eyes having Erase Paste and a bit of powder foundation. Whilst apply the foundation I found the Erase Paste moved slightly and so I lost a little of the coverage.

My opinion, it’s a good product and does what it’s meant to. However, I like my under eye area to be light and found the product to be slightly dark (my camera washes me out in pics) so I’d have to apply a brightener on top.

Even though the Β£20.50 price tag almost killed me, the product would last me a long time. The coverage is great, I just don’t know what it is about the product thatΒ I’m not jumping for joy. I’m guessing I was just expecting more out of the hyped up Erase Paste.

  1. I found that it was slightly too orange and almost sticky. Great coverage but settled into creases very easily. I now use MAC Studio Finish concealer and its coverage is amazing. X

    1. When I started applying more product the orange was started becoming more noticeable, I’m on the fence with it. I have Mac Pro Long Wear but may need to try that one! x
